And on the fourth day...

...Sonia got back on the work out wagon.

So I haven't worked out in several days. sigh

But! In an effort to not beat myself up after slipping for a few days (which never helps), here is a list of things I am grateful for:
  • I am grateful for my job, that is interesting and exciting and needs me so much (and pays me hourly) that sometimes I have to stay late.
  • I am grateful for having a workout partner who is so committed to getting in shape that he really, really, really wants to work out with me, and therefore we sometimes fail to work out at all.
  • I am grateful for finally having the will power to not drink for a few days!
  • I am grateful that I was raised a healthy eater, and have continue to do so. So that even when I don't work out for several days, I am still mainly eating grilled meat, steamed vegetables and fresh fruit.
  • I am grateful for my (mostly) healthy body, which feels like poo when I don't work out and drives me to continue to better and improve myself.
  • I am grateful for our military which practices protecting me and gets me stuck in loooong security lines while I am simply trying to go to the gym.

Ok, maybe being grateful for getting stuck in a security drill when I was just trying to go to the gym is a bit of a stretch, but I'm trying here!

Oh, and I'm grateful for my coach, who will kick my butt today and remind me why slipping sucks. :)
